WAR EAGLE!!!!!!

About a month ago I went down to visit Todd while he was in Montgomery for some AF schooling. While he was there I knew that might be my only chance to get him to a Auburn and a football game. Lucky for us, we had a couple of good choices to pick for games. I thought going to the South Carolina game would be alot of fun. It was our first SEC game at home. And let me just say it was a doozy!!! Another come from behind win (which seems to be a happening theme this year).

Our day started by leaving Montgomery early to get to Auburn to ensure a good tailgate spot. We didn't end up using the one I had roped off the day before behind the baseball field. I didn't even think about it being completely blocked off on game day because of TigerWalk ... oh well. Luckily Stephanie & Theron found another spot for us behind Samford Hall. Once we got there we helped set everything up. After that was done Todd and I walked on over to Toomer's Drugs for some lemonade! In all my years at Auburn I never had any and man was I missing out. It was delicious!!!! (Don't worry, Todd gave me a hard time about living in Auburn for 4 years and never having Toomer's lemonade.) After that we enjoyed eating and drinking with friends and family. We had talked about going to TigerWalk but decided in the end not to go because it was on the opposite side of campus. (That's going to be my excuse to get him to another Auburn game!) We had awesome seats!!!! We were supposed to be in the endzone 5th row from the field, but somehow we ended up sitting in the 4th row. No one bothered to say anything to us about it so we stayed put. Even though we missed TigerWalk we did make it in the stadium in time to see Nova fly and the band pep the crowd up. I must say being back in that stadium made me miss it sooooo much. It had been 5 years since I had been to a game (my last happened to be against S. Carolina as well). Way too long!!!! To end the night, we followed the masses to Toomer's corner and what a lovely sight it was.

I've tried to explain what its like to go to be apart of Auburn and go to games to Todd over the years. I could never find the right words to describe it. I fully believe its one of those things that everyone just needs to experience on their own. People (including me) aren't just fans, its a way of life. After going to his first game and enjoying it I think Todd is finally realizing why I'm so crazy about Auburn.

Here are some pictures from tailgating and the game:

1st time I've gotten Todd to wear an Auburn shirt!!

Its not really tailgating without watching all the other games on tv ... Thanks Theron & Stephanie!

Leslie, Stephanie, and me - I can't tell you how many AU football games I went to with these girls.

Nova (Unfortunately for us no Tiger flying)

Cam getting the crowd pumped!!

1st touchdown of the game - Cam with a long run & dive into the endzone

Celebration after the 1st TD

AUBIE!!!!

After another AU Touchdown!

Cam jumping in the endzone for another TD

Extra point is good!!!

Another missed tackle ... you can't contain him!

Let the celebration begin!!!!

My sister & brother-in-law joined us for the game.

Laine

I just got back from a 2 week trip home. While I was there I got to spend some quality time with sweet niece Laine. Obviously I did more than just hang out with Laine, but I only got pictures of her.

This is the cow rocker that I bought for her. Turns out she loves it!

Before my run

WAR EAGLE!

After my run. She sat in my lap for 10 or 15 minutes like this.

Liz's Baby Shower

A couple of Saturdays ago I put together a baby shower for one of my good friends, Liz Floyd. She is due at the end of December. Its still a little early for a shower, but since we are both moving (they are moving to Japan!) this was the only weekend we both had free. It turned out to be a success (which is always nice since this was my first time to host a shower). Here's a couple of pictures through the day.

Sweet Valerie Malley looking adorable as usual

A diaper cake that Liz made

I got this pinata as a joke since they've nicknamed the baby Tron

Airplane diaper cake that I made (with the help of Todd) - I'd like to think it looks like a C-130

SD Pictures

Here are the pictures to go along with the post below. Again I have no idea why it wouldn't let me upload the pictures with it to begin with, but whatever.

The smaller looking pirate ship

John, Frances, & Valerie Malley

Me, Frances, and Valerie

Ann Marie & Alex

Mr. & Mrs. Alex Miller

Coronado Beach - You can kind of see how cold it was by Todd's facial expression

Obviously I took many more pictures at the zoo and we saw many more animals, but these were the ones I liked the best - whether because of the animal or picture itself.

I want one of these really bad

Gross

I thought these were prairie dogs, but I was wrong ... I can't remember what they are

This cheetah seemed to have a thing for a little boy that was beside us. Whenever the little boy moved, the cheetah moved with him almost as though he wanted to eat him

Grizzly - look at those teeth!

Sloth Bear - doesn't he look cute with those droopy ears!

This little monkey decided to drink straight from the spout instead of the water bowl he was sitting on

This guy kept biting off pieces of carrot then spitting it out

Mountain lion - doesn't look so scary here

He may not look like it, but he really is HUGE

Pretty lion

Venus Fly Trap

I can't remember what these are ....

This monkey's arms are so long I can't get all of them in one picture!

The smallest gorilla went over there and would not leave. He finally got the attention of one of the medium size gorillas and he came over too. We never did figure out what they were looking for over there.

"Hey! Over here, throw me some food!!"

Silly Chimps

Pandas!!

And the last picture .....
